Design Challenge
Plan and design a cohesive extension of downtown Parker’s historic Mainstreet through a public-private partnership that addresses an urban planning challenge — connecting future civic spaces with the existing core through pedestrian-friendly, mixed use design that balances growth, character, and community vision.
Accomplishments & Design Solution
My Mainstreet transforms five parcels of land at the east end of downtown Parker into an extension of the historic Mainstreet district. Craine Architecture led entitlements, master planning, and architectural design in partnership with the Town of Parker and Confluence Companies, creating a framework for strategic growth with walkable street life, connected public areas, and vibrant mixed use environments.
Guided by community input, the plan weaves residential, commercial, and civic spaces together around inviting parks, plazas, and tree-lined streets. Architecture responds to Parker’s downtown context with familiar scale and rhythm while introducing modern, flexible spaces that encourage everyday use. Phased over several years, My Mainstreet strengthens Parker’s urban identity through enduring, context-driven design that preserves the community’s welcoming, small-town character.
