Detroit Terraces-Apartments in Denver’s City Park

Detroit Terraces-Apartments in Denver’s City Park 1800 849 Kristy

Craine Architecture designed a brand new multi-family apartment building entitled, The Detroit Terraces, which is beginning to take root in the vibrant City Park neighborhood.  The site for the new apartment building is just north of the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Detroit Street, directly to the east of East High School. The project owner, Brian Toerber, is beginning to make a mark on the neighborhood by building The Detroit Terraces directly adjacent to his already established and desirable apartment complex, The Detroit. The Detroit Terraces project will be built by Denver based contractor, Hyder Construction, and construction completion is projected for March 2016.
The Detroit Terraces will be comprised of 50 apartment units, consisting mostly of sleeper studios, ranging between 400 to 600 square feet, as well as larger one and two bedroom living units. All units will include stylish kitchens and baths as well as in-unit laundry. The building will also boast a variety of amenities including underground car and bike parking, a chic lobby with a billiards table, a fitness room with the latest work-out equipment, a community room with fabulous views of the mountains, and an outdoor amenity deck for summertime soirees. The building’s exterior was designed to fit seamlessly with the historic qualities of the Colfax neighborhood through the use of masonry and by maintaining the area’s three-story scale, but also to juxtapose these features through contemporary elements and materials which reference the up-and-coming, hip atmosphere of the area. The Detroit Terraces is most certainly going to be a welcomed addition to the Denver apartment market.
